Ordering

You can shop online conveniently and securely at Haltwhistle Cheese.  We will process your order as fast as possible, however we ask that you allow up to one week for your shipment to be sent.   Please note that payment for online orders is only through Square.

Shipping

All orders are shipped from our facility in Duncan, BC.  At this time we only ship within Canada.

Cheese is packaged in insulated shipping boxes with foodsafe icepacks.  Orders are shipped without refrigeration, therefore we suggest you do not order cheese in extreme hot weather.

Return Policy

Cheese is a food item and is non-returnable.

Cheese club memberships are non-refundable, however you are welcome to transfer your membership to another person.

Our cheeses are made on a seasonal basis and there for flavor and texture may vary slightly among batches.

Cheese Club FAQs

When exactly do I pick up my cheese from you?  We anticipate each cheese will be ready the second or third weekend of each month.  We will notify you at least three days before the pick up date to make sure you have plenty of notice.  If your contact information changes, please be sure to let us know!

I am unable to pick up my cheese on the day it is ready for me, what should I do?  We encourage you to send someone in your place to collect the cheese so you may enjoy it at its peak.  In the event that this is impossible, we can hold the cheese back for a maximum of one week and you may collect it at the next market.

I forgot to pick up my cheese, what happens now?  We will hold your cheese back for a maximum of one week and you may collect it at the next market.  We are unable to offer refunds for forgotten cheese.

I don’t like this month’s cheese, can I trade it for something else or get my money back?  We regret substitutions and refunds are not available.

I love this month’s cheese and would like more of it, can I buy some?  While we are producing these cheeses for club members only, there may in some cases be a limited additional amount available.  In this case members are welcome to purchase additional cheese.  We value your feedback and hope you share your thoughts on each cheese.  We may produce similar cheeses in the future that will be available to the public.

When is my discount card valid?  Discount cards will be distributed at your first cheese pick up and are valid until your last cheese pick up.

My circumstances have changed and I will not be able to continue with the club, can I get a refund on months I have not collected?  We regret refunds are not available.  We would be pleased to transfer your remaining membership to another person of your choosing.

Which markets can I pick up my cheese from?  Cheese is available for pick up only at the Duncan Farmers’ Market.

What kind of cheese will I get?  It’s a surprise, isn’t that part of the fun?!  Each month you will get one piece of cheese weighing between 400-500 grams.

Milk Delivery & Pickup FAQs

Milk will be delivered on the specified dates between 9am and 5pm.  If you are unable to personally accept the milk, it is your responsibility to leave an easily accessible cooler or similar to store the milk below 4C until your return.

Empty milk bottles are to be collected/returned at subsequent deliveries/pickups.

Refunds/replacements will not be provided for milk not collected on the specified pickup date.  Pickup is available only at the Duncan Farmers’ Market.

Delivery is available to postal codes beginning with V9L.

We reserve the right to cancel a shipment series if a minimum number of total orders are not placed.  In this case a full refund will be provided.
